The research is conducted in the framework of study for the modality of graduate work. The general objective is to understand how technology and virtual platforms can be used as tools for psychology, specifically in the development of social skills. The methodology proposed was virtual ethnography, with a descriptive approach and mixed research method. In response to the social contingency generated by the SARS-COVID 19 pandemic, a broad search of authors and research was conducted to explain in depth each of the variables. The Goldstein Social Skills Scale (1978) was used as a measurement instrument. The chosen population was sought through the Facebook platform, where data were collected from nine people, whose sample was seven; which allowed addressing the results according to the specific objectives: to describe the advantages of the use of technological means for the development of Social Skills, to establish the way in which technology can be implemented for this topic, specifically video games in young people between 18 and 23 years old, and to describe the impact that communication technologies have on Social Skills for life. An interview was applied according to variable x, technology; 18 nominal codes were chosen for the analysis. Finally, the advantages of the use of technological means for the development of Social Skills were described, and the way in which technology can be implemented for this purpose was established.
