dc.description | Cada día la demanda estética en el área de la ortodoncia aumenta, donde no solo los jóvenes sino adultos mayores se interesan a reestablecer las dinámicas funcionales como oclusales. Lo anterior, ha impulsado los tratamientos ortodóncicos con alineadores, tanto por estética, comodidad e higiene oral en relación con la aparatología fija convencional. Independiente de la técnica a utilizar, existe un factor que no se puede dejar de valorar y es la reabsorción radicular externa (RRE). Esta alteración se establece como una inflamación estéril, progresiva, asintomática, no deseada e inevitable, asociada a la aplicación de la fuerza sobre el diente, la cual se manifiesta con la perdida de estructura radicular principalmente en la zona apical. | es |
