Resumen
It is important to highlight that the indicators are a tool that allows to quantify and measure everything that the organization considers necessary, but the most important thing is to know how to interpret the results to exercise an effective solution. This is why it is important to establish the role that an indicator will play, to specify its transcendence from the beginning of the process and to assume the commitment implied by its measurement. In this project it is very significant to note the role of students in the commitment to accompany and support the process for the collection of information and its consequent feeding, in order to meet the objectives of institutional progress. At the beginning of the 20th century, organizations began to need something that would allow their results to be measured. The concept of management indicators, traces its success to the development of the philosophy of Total Quality, created in the United States and applied correctly in Japan. At the beginning, its use was oriented more as control tools of the operative processes than as management tools that support decision making. Consequently, establishing a system of indicators should involve both the operational and administrative processes in an organization, and be derived from performance agreements based on the Mission and the Strategic Objectives.
