The result of this document is derived from the development of business practice, social and solidarity that had as main objective to support the process of benefit of pigs in the Porcicarnes® plant in the post mortem inspection of red viscera and facilitate the identification of incidents and Losses generated by seizures. This inspection is of utmost importance in the slaughter process during evisceration due to the high possibility of contamination of the final product; In addition, to classify the presence of pathologies that occur at the time of routine inspection of the red viscera of the pig (trachea, esophagus, lung, heart and liver), in accordance with current regulations, to ensure a product of excellent quality. The information collection period included a period of 12 months, from January 2017 to January 2018, the topics included for the collection of included data, the seizures made and the classification of the respiratory lesions presented in the veterinary inspection platform of the pigs for profit in the farms of Antioquia. of porcine. From the analysis of the data obtained from the pigs from the farms of the Antioqueña porcine business group, for a total of 245,324 thousand pigs analyzed, a greater presence of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae was observed with a total of 9305.46 Kg seized, generating $ 8,840,187 million. The weight in economic losses is 45.86% of the total of seizures in lung injuries. The economic analysis was performed for the losses caused in the seizure of red viscera by respiratory pathologies in the slaughter, finding losses of 20,291 kg corresponding to a total of $ 19,276,317 million. Weights this indicates that health plans that reduce the economic impact generated should be reviewed and updated.
