Resumen
The departmental government of Tolima, within its policy of improvement of the traffic conditions of the tertiary roads of the department and in order to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants has established and scheduled the studies for the improvement of the Palo Cabildo road - San Jeronimo with a length of 7.5 km of road in the department of Tolima, with characteristics appropriate to the topography of the sector, considering the existing traffic whose road studies are priority and urgent for the reduction in travel times between helmets urban areas attached to the project. One of the biggest problems in most corregimientos and municipalities that have large tracts of land and are far from the capital cities, is the poor state of their access roads, as this is the only means by which They transport inhabitants and large shipments of agricultural products, which provide food to the capitals of the nation. For the development of the improvement of the Palocabildo - San Jeronimo route, an approximation was made to the environmental management plan with the objective of identifying the environmental impacts generated before, during and after the execution of said project. The methodology used to arrive at the identification of the negative environmental aspects that cause greater affectation in the area, was achieved with the execution of a very useful tool called Matris de Leopol, which, through a qualitative and quantitative qualification, indicates what environmental factors and the actions of the project are the generators of greater environmental impact. It is very important to visualize the possible problems that may arise during the execution of a road rehabilitation project. By identifying the problem, it will be possible to generate the best solution both for the person surrounding the project and for the mitigation of the environmental impacts generated by the project. said project.
