The objective of this article is to analyze the business development of SMEs in the city of Bogotá from a social perspective, considering the impact that these small and medium enterprises generate in the local economy and in the sector that surrounds them. For this, a brief investigation is made about the economy of the city and how it has evolved regarding social innovation. For a better analysis, the entities that support companies to generate social value are mentioned and significant projects are studied to identify the achievements and their impacts on the community and the incidence of social responsibility on the competitive success of companies. Finally, it reflects on the limitations that these companies present when it comes to generating social value.
