Resumen
Women who come to prostitution as a form of existence, must do so under conditions of exploitation and marginalization, rejection and social criticism that affects the representations that they construct of themselves, their families and relationships. Due to health and social order measures that seek to prevent the spread of STDs, and reinsert socially these women, Foundations and associations have been formed that promote their rights and support them in the design of a new life project, this This is the case of the New Life Foundation. The research work consisted of identifying the social representations of 20 sex workers who attend this Foundation through an intervention program, in which they sought to change them to enable the deconstruction of their life project, this with the strengthening of their self-esteem , the healing of their wounds, the knowledge of new abilities and skills allowing their potentialization, for which the study was designed within a critical social framework with a qualitative approach. The results led to the change of social representations in some of the participants, who started new projects with the help of the Foundation, especially in training and help to exercise a new activity, after discovering that although opportunities are few if there are and they are likely to be reached.
