Resumen
The present thesis intends to contribute from the academy, to study of the rural women productivity framed in associative work, agricultural entrepreneurship and the gender perspective, through the case study in the MAIKAFE associative group, highlighting the achievements achieved in terms of production and coffee marketing at the local, regional and international level that could undoubtedly be compared to those of traditional formal organizations. Although some studies affirm that rural women are less effective in these productive activities, and that their work in the field is exclusively framed in the so-called care work and reproductive activities, the results found within MAIKAFE show signs of otherwise. The research approach is exploratory in nature, in order to offer a general vision, of an approximate type, with respect to a certain social reality. In this regard, the case study methodology is used to explain the problem of rural women from their efforts for equal opportunities in the home, business and society from roles that would make their development more complex: as a mother, wife, community person and productive agent in the context of a solidarity economy organization. Finally, it is identified that the processes of associativity and agricultural entrepreneurship with gender equity contribute positively to the improvement of the quality of life of the rural family through the economic and social empowerment of women.
