The research "Critical Thinking and Reasoning in University Students in B.A in Spanish and English Language Teaching of a Private University in Bucaramanga" has as its theme the development of critical thinking through deductive, inductive and analogical reasoning, since university students need to perform in the different contexts such as labor, personal and academic in a conscientious way. The question that led the research process was: How to promote the development of analog, inductive and deductive thinking in university students in B.A in Spanish and English Language Teaching at a private university in Bucaramanga? The general objective that was proposed was to propose didactic strategies for the promotion of the development of critical thinking in university students in B.A in Spanish and English Language Teaching at a private university in Bucaramanga. To achieve this goal, workshops were implemented that were helpful in demonstrating an improvement in the use of critical thinking and different types of reasoning. This is why it is important that spaces for argumentation is used 9 in classrooms, which lead to the use of different types of reasoning, in order for students to consolidate and establish the importance of these. In the research process the contributions of David Kloster (2001), Jonh Dewey (2007), Robert Audi (1999), Daniel Cassany (2003), Carolina Contreras (2016), Hilda Difadio (2005), Emilia Ferreiro were taken into account. and Ana Teberosky (2005), Alejandro Dorna (2009), Sergio Moreno Ríos (2005), Usha Goswami (2002), Calixto Badesa (2010), Manuel Gutiérrez Calvo (1999), among others. The research was of a qualitative nature, which leads to the use of techniques and instruments such as interview, test and workshop. Eight workshops were implemented in total: two for critical thinking and two for each reasoning, with the purpose of improving the results obtained.
