The present investigation, the study of family practices for parents and / or caregivers of children and teenagers of public educational institutions of Ciénaga Magdalena municipality, using a sample of363 students, belonging to the 5th grade of elementary school and the 6th grade of baccalaureate, with ages of 10 to 14 years. The study aims to establish the relationship between parental practices, prosocial behavior and aggressive behavior, for which the following instruments were applied: sociodemographic characterization sheet that showed the socioeconomic level of the students, the Collell questionnaire, and Escudé (2006) CESC (Conduct and Social Experiences in Class) which shows that students at risk for aggressive behavior, victimization and prosocial behaviors and the Parental PracticeScale of Lempers, Clark-Lempers, and Simons (1989), which measures the styles of authoritative, authoritarian, permissive and negligent parenting. In terms of results, it is evident that 25.6% of boys and girls show aggressive behaviors and 14.1% proved to be prosocial, being the authoritarian parenting style the one that favors prosocial behaviors.
