The Cooperative University of Colombia, in order to strengthen and generate competitiveness in the companies of the Middle Magdalena region, seeks through the research of students to strengthen its management in different areas. That is why this project is created that aims to make a proposal to improve the process of selection and hiring of staff of the Bureau Veritas company, making a deliverable offered by the Cooperative University of Colombia within the Business Administration program with the aim of generating added value in the hiring of personnel, fulfilling the quality standards to which Bureau Veritas, provides its services. This work is done in the need to formally structure a proposal for a company in the region within the purpose of choosing the title of: Business Administrator. In order to achieve the general objective, the stages that comprise the recruitment and selection processes that comprise the human talent administration process are studied. There are models that define each process in a similar way, applied to the selection and hiring to be competent in the administration of human resources. For the development of the specific objectives, a diagnosis was made which evidenced the current state of the selection and hiring process developed within the Bureau Veritas company. The stages of the process were identified, to finally formulate a proposal for the improvement of the selection and hiring process of the company.
