The objective of the research was to evaluate the prevalence of posttraumatic stress symptoms in victims of forced displacement in the Municipality of Arauca, through the application of the CAPS-DX Scale for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, which has been implemented in Previous investigations, using a quantitative methodology with a non-experimental design and a descriptive-correlational scope, counted on the participation of 28 people between the 18 and 55 years of the forced displacement resulting from the Armed Conflict resident in the Municipality of Arauca . Where the frequency and intensity of the symptoms presented in the participants were measured, the PTSD symptoms that were presented with the highest score were identified and the type of correlation between the sociodemographic variables and the scale score was described; With the result that the frequency of symptoms, reexperimentation, avoidance and hypervigilance obtained 270, 342 and 272 points, respectively, out of a total of 1904 points, adding the maximum frequency per symptom and the total of participants, in the same order in relation to The intensity obtained 290, 341 and 247 points out of a total of 1904 points in the same way as the frequency summation. On the other hand, the symptom that was presented with the highest score was avoidance. Finally, the sociodemographic variables (age, gender, marital status and consolidated status) showed no correlation between these variables and the presence of PTSD.
