The main objective of the study was to analyze the contributions of the Merquemos Juntos association to the construction of a social fabric in conflict territories in Barrancabermeja. To do this, the qualitative-descriptive approach and an action-participation design were used, the analysis unit being the ADC-Merquemos Juntos; for the collection of information, the instruments were used: timeline, stakeholder map, semi-structured interview, characterization and focus group; 15 people participated where 77% women and 23% men, socioeconomic level predominates in stratum 2 with 46%, then is stratum number 3 with 31% and only 15% of the population say they are in a stratum 1. The results show a participatory democratic system-associativity that promotes community initiatives for the development of projects that benefit the community being valued for the capacity of linkage, transparency and delivery of work, being a protective factor and a community strategy for consolidation of territories that foment spaces free of violence, generating employment, education, an environment of solidarity and entrepreneurship. The ADC-Merquemos Juntos, over the years has worked for the recognition of the other from pain, need and suffering, significantly reducing violence against women, and increasing the participation of the same views as leaders. The results show the relevance of social organizations in the territories as platforms for peace; likewise, it highlights the need to articulate departmental, national and international entities that strengthen community work in the territory.
