The Colombian legal procedural system is constantly updated, due to reforms aimed at making effective and effective the realization of substantial rights. In the administrative area, Law 1437 of 2011 was issued, which brought orality to the administrative litigation process, changing the mechanisms and procedural stages, and seeking a notable decongestion of the judicial system. The Administrative Courts of Villavicencio are aware of the controversies of the Metra Judicial District, which presents a considerable extension compared to other judicial districts, which is why it is feasible and necessary to verify whether during the validity of the new Code of Administrative Procedure and Contentious Administrative in Villavicencio, have fulfilled purposes for which it was created. Through this research, aspects relevant to orality are analyzed, such as its principles, its procedural approach, the acts preceding its application, its structure with respect to procedural systems applied in some Latin American countries, its entry into force in the Judicial Circuit of Villavicencio and above all its application in the Oral Administrative Courts regarding the most popular control means.
