Resumen
Named the Pearl of America, is named the city of Santa Marta (Magdalena), is located in northern Colombia specifically in the Caribbean region, this city that currently has just under 450,000 inhabitants. It lacks one of the most important water resources in the world, such as Water. Currently the city is supplied by two superficial sources that cross the city, such as the Manzanares River and the Gaira River, but in times of drought these two superficial sources fail to satisfy the inhabitants of the city; that is why the catchment has been implemented through underground sources. The city of Santa Marta has been implementing a series of wells in its main neighborhoods, to satisfy the need for this precious liquid; At present, the city has more than 150 wells, of which only 51 wells are monitored for water quality. Water for human consumption must meet quality parameters, which are based on physicochemical parameters that allow defining the purity of this important liquid. The capture of water through underground sources, allows humanity to survive during the dry season, but different projects are born that agree to analyze and verify physicochemical parameters, that is why it is being carried out at the Cooperativa de Colombia University Santa Marta. the project REAL-TIME MONITORING SYSTEM OF THE FREATERTIC AND QUALITY LEVELS OF THE AQUIFERS OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARTA, this leads to prevent diseases to people as well as to know the amount of water that the aquifers of the city have.
