Resumen
The objective of this work is to present the impact of the road project of extension of the Villavicencio Restrepo highway, on connectivity of the biological corridors, the rupture of main ecosystems, the affectation to the fauna and wild flora; besides evaluating management measures to mitigate these effects. The information of the environmental management plan of the project submitted to the ANLA National Environmental Authority by the company in charge of the project was reviewed and analyzed, seeking to determine the evaluation of the phenomenon. In addition, several studies carried out by other environmental entities were reviewed, as well as some studies on the environmental impact of roads that have been developed in the country. It was found that the main impacts are run over, the isolation of populations and the change in the reproductive patterns of the fauna; This results in the decrease of populations of wildlife species. The commonly implemented strategies for the management of impacts are also proposed, such as bridge construction and wildlife passages.
