Currently the health providers in Colombia have recognized the importance of implementing control and management practices within their organizations in order to improve their processes, so that in this way they can mitigate the possible risks that may arise, as well as avoid being implicated. in fraudulent businesses, such as money laundering or financing to terrorist groups, taking control and monitoring the administration of their economic resources. The Colombian government in support as the entities that monitor the companies and in particular the health providers, for its part have created the figure of the compliance officer which has specific functions and characteristics with which it is intended to have a margin much less bad practices that include fraud that goes against the law. The objective of this research is initially to conduct a detailed characterization of the control practices in at least three health providers in Colombia and if these have been efficient and sufficient and in parallel to determine what obligations and requirements a compliance officer should have in place. this type of entities so that, in conjunction with the implementation of control practices, it complies with the objectives of the entities and the government. And to conclude with the information obtained from the foregoing, it was diagnosed that the implementation of a compliance officer in health entities has helped to avoid money laundering, financing of terrorism and corrective to control practices in health entities
