Resumen
In the present research we show the importance of electronic commerce in the country. The obstacles and benefits presented at the moment of exercising it, the current perception regarding the subject and the marked need to dwarf that technological gap compared to other countries. The ability of small and medium-sized businesses to adapt to changes will be a point in their favor in the market, making it convenient for traditional businesses to enter ecommerce to publicize their products, services, position their Brands via the web which allows the customer from anywhere to access products, analyze their characteristics and know the company. This research consists of an analysis of the information on the subject to be treated establishing relationships, differences, current status and perspectives starting from the problem of how little knowledge of electronic commerce affects the development of SMEs. It seeks to demonstrate that SMEs can innovate with online businesses and due to the lack of knowledge some have never made any electronic payment and very few have an updated website, considering that it is not necessary to have this tool because it has always been the Traditionalism of managing their processes manually feel that it does not deserve a real investment because they do not see in it some kind of comercial development, when in the modern world the opposite happens.
