    The main objective of the research proposal presented in this work is to develop and apply strategies to solve problem situations in operations with fractions through VLOs (Virtual Learning Objects) through various practical activities where students can solve, create, explore, investigate and develop problem situations taking into account events of the daily and school context with fractions, focused on strengthening the present weaknesses in relation to numerical thinking. It should be noted that the proposal shows a graphic and analytical description of the procedures carried out, such as the comparison of the diagnostic test carried out at the beginning and at the end of the pedagogical interventions, evidencing very significant advances in the students in relation to the issue of solving problems with fractions. a significant impact on the learning process of students. According to the results obtained in the tests, it was evidenced that students learn and understand better through the use of OVA (Virtual Learning Objects) interacting with various web pages, creating pages, participating in online games and performing multimedia searches. this teaching strategy that is used consists of various elements and tools in which the student interacts with inductive methods that allow the participation and creation of new knowledge from solving problems with fractions.

    The study of geometry constitutes for many young people a great challenge to achieve because it requires a great effort to understand the matter. That is why the objective of this project was to design a strategy for solving problem situations and that of geometric figures for the calculation of volumes and areas of geometric bodies aimed at strengthening communicative competence and problem solving, whose method was oriented to the elaboration of a didactic unit reaching the conclusion that teachers should update their academic strategies based on activities that are easy to understand.

    Los sólidos platónicos, una estrategia didáctica para el desarrollo de habilidades en el pensamiento geométrico-métrico

    Platonic solids, a didactic strategy for the development of skills in geometric-metric thinking, making use of concrete material, and good critical reading for problem-solving. The current research proposal was carried out at the Ferrini Bilingual School, in Medellín, Robledo, it aims to enhance the reasoning competence of the geometric component in 8th-grade students, from the implementation of a sequence of activities framed in the calculation of areas of plane figures and volumes of some solids, mediated by the use of concrete material. This investigation was concentrated, in a significant time in front of the situations presented from the virtuality; For this, elements such as the standardized multiple-choice test applied at the beginning and the end of the investigation in virtual sections were used, with which it was evidenced that there was an impact between the initial and final tests. Among the results obtained, it can be deduced that learning is more significant if concrete material is used, especially in geometric topics. In the same way, problems are resolved effectively if a good understanding of reading is done, as long as it adapts to the context. It is expected this idea arouses the interest of the teacher in the teaching-learning process in geometric thinking in their classroom.

    Resolución de problemas y el modelo de Van Hielen en el aprendizaje de los cuadriláteros

    This work aims to analyze the incidence of problem solving in the learning process of quadrilaterals from the levels of the Van Hiele model and the implementation of George Pólya's principles in students of CLEI V, of the I.E. Playa Rica in the municipality of Bello (Antioquia). This research is developed with a mixed approach and is governed by the methodological principles of descriptive research. The processes immersed in problem solving allowed us to improve the ability to solve quadrilateral problem situations. After the intervention, it is evident that the students adapt strategies to solve the problems using the quadrilaterals.

    Resolución de problemas: una estrategia didáctica en el aprendizaje del pensamiento geométrico en perímetro y áreas con el uso de material concreto

    This investigation was approached, from the geometric thought having as starting point the curricular guidelines of the MEN, the DBA of the sixth grade, the pedagogical model of Miguel De Guzmán. The main objective was to implement a strategy supported by a didactic unit, linked to the teaching of the concept of area and perimeter in the sixth grade, mediated with the use of concrete material. The research methodology was qualitative in nature and was developed from a case study. A sample was taken of students from the Merceditas Gómez Martínez Educational Institution, in the different contexts; finally, the results allowed to identify the difficulty in the interpretation capacity and relationship of a two-dimensional figure in space, therefore this didactic unit, together with mediation and the use of concrete material, aimed to establish a strategy that contributes alternative to the teacher as researcher and the student to be competent in the different areas of knowledge.

    This article is about the distance education learning experience of Faculty of Education in Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia located in Medellin city, and its work in 11 municipalities of Antioquia and Arauca between 2010 and 2019.This reconstruction of the experience describes the begining, the implementation and ending of the process.Finally, some conclusions are highlighted to be considered to improve this process.

    La modelación como núcleo de la resolución de problemas en situaciones de variación

    The project was developed at the Playa Rica Educational Institution in the municipality of Bello Antioquia. In order to potentiate reasoning through problem situations modeled with geogebra software in 1002 grade students. The techniques used for data collection were: standardized test with only one answer, implemented at the beginning and end of the investigation, field diaries and collation tests. According to the results obtained from the research, it was observed that students can have a better understanding of the subject through the technological modeling of the Geogebra software, the activities that make them protagonists, the directed work and the recreational activities, allowing them to make deductions from logic and better security in their views without fear of making mistakes in the moments of trial error.
