Bovine genital Campylobacteriosis, a disease called Vibriosis a few years ago, is a pathology that represents great economic losses in cattle herds worldwide, and that requires an adequate diagnostic plan. It is caused by an agent of the Campylobacter genus that encompasses several species, one of the most important being Campylobacter fetus subsp venerealis. There are various diagnostic tests such as indirect immunofluorescence, Elisa, culture and PCR, where their use depends on several factors such as sex, type of sample and others. Prevention is the best strategy to avoid the presence and spread of this pathology in the bovine species, for example, the use of AI, vaccination, performing periodic diagnostic tests and when introducing a new animal, among others.
