Entrepreneurship or the business fabric is an important indicator for the development and economy of any country or region, which is why the main functions of the chambers of commerce in the territories and the ministry of industry, commerce and services at the national level are the estates that promote the consolidation of companies and support the development of entrepreneurship and culture of innovation, this with the aim that every day many more companies contribute to development, generate growth and of course create new places of formal employment (Chamber of Commerce South and East of Tolima, 2018). It is for the above reason, the present study has the general objective of categorizing in a bibliometric way, the factors that limit business growth, understanding that the contributions of the literature give a line of consolidation theorizes important in the construction of science and even more, in the social sciences, where administration, management, entrepreneurship and business studies are framed. This activity is conceived through a qualitative approach methodology that allows identifying these factors in a sample of 18 documents. The findings show that there is not only a proliferating interest in indexed scientific publication documents, but the subject has evolved, going from formalization issues to business consolidation, as evidenced by the articles examined.
