Resumen
The work comprises a research project, its main objective was to analyze the levels of addiction to social networks in students of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Villavicencio. It was developed under a quantitative and descriptive methodology. We worked with 4237 students belonging to all the programs of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Villavicencio, it is worth mentioning that the sample is comprised of 106 students. The type of sampling was non-probabilistic since the participants will be chosen informally, in this case students between 16 and 17 years of age were chosen. Non-probabilistic samples involve an informal selection procedure, inferences are made about the population (Hernández et al., 2010). On the other hand, this research did not discriminate sex, career, semester, or socioeconomic stratum. To collect the data, the social network addiction questionnaire created by Escurra & Salas (2014) was applied, which contains 30 Likert-type questions where 6 are sociodemographic and the other 24 questions measure the level of addiction present in the subjects. Once the information was collected, Microsoft Excel was used, where the results were broken down to achieve a clearer analysis of whether or not there is addiction in the students of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia. Key words: Addiction to social networks, Students, Internet, Levels.
