Resumen
Within the national context, poultry farming is one of the most widespread livestock farms throughout the territory, this is due in large part to the exponential growth that the sector has year after year, thus forming an increasingly stronger production chain within the agro-industrial field. from the country. This productive chain, which is clearly growing, can be affected by failures in production processes that can be generated by poor biosecurity measures implemented on farms. In the field of poultry farming, biosafety is of great importance since by carrying out the processes and activities established by each company, the risks of the spread and contagion of diseases within the farm are reduced, such as the dissemination of these to neighboring farms. Due to the above, the objective of this practice was to evaluate the critical points found in the broiler breeder farm La Hormiga, to generate protocols that minimize these risks in terms of biosecurity. In order to carry out these activities, it was necessary to carry out various evaluation exercises of the processes carried out within the farm in order to define the points in which should be intervened in order to guarantee the health of the birds. The main result was the creation of a manual that seeks the standardization of basic processes such as composting or water treatment, all within the framework required by ICA resolution 3650. As for the main conclusion after carrying out this practice, it was observed that the farm La Hormiga excellent bases in terms of biosecurity and the intervention was minimal but necessary to guarantee the biosecurity of the farm.
