Resumen
During the course of a lifetime, the human being undergoes different physical, mental and social changes, which may predispose them to transform their health status. In addition to this, the opportunities for access to health services and the different challenges that must be overcome, especially at advanced ages, can play unfavorably against the elders, leading them to a faster deterioration, thus resulting in a quality life reduction. The nursing staff is a fundamental axis to provide key tools so that the elderly can have knowledge and control over their health status, carry out actions for its improvement and thus reduce the risks of the illness they are suffering from or acquiring a new one. However, our work as nurses goes far beyond just offering care because the role that identifies us is a set of qualities that complements us and it is because of these qualities that we carry out the job of care. Through love, confidentiality and humanization, we seek to provide a service to one of the most vulnerable age groups, taking education as the main basis, being a fundamental means for learning to maintain one's own health; taking it especially to places of complex access such as the rural area of our country. Therefore, providing opportunities to families with older adults who live in remote areas of urban centers becomes a priority, because like the city population, they also have the right to receive specialized care focused on each of their needs
