The main objective of this research was to design a didactic sequence that would guide the trainers in their training practice to reduce the risks of early sports specialization in two clubs of the Liga Santandereana de Fútbol of the Sub 8 to Sub 10 categories. It is crucial to educate trainers about the importance of training children from 8 to 10 years old, while respecting their learning processes, aiming for a comprehensive training that goes beyond the search for excellence in sports results and that involves the development of their basic motor skills. The project was based on the qualitative methodology because it allowed researchers to approach the object of study from "within" its natural context. Regarding the methodological design, Action Research was selected as it aims to improve teaching and learning processes, based on the model proposed by Whitehead. A didactic sequence composed of four sessions based on observational learning was proposed. Three main conclusions were drawn: first, the importance of recreational activities in sports training; second, the need to implement strategies for both individual and collective training taking into account the evolutionary development of the child; and third, a poor training planning. On the other hand, the following trends towards early sports specialization were identified: the absence of rotations in the playing positions in children, the emphasis on unilateral work and exercises focused on the development of specific motor skills. Thus, it is expected that the trainers of the two selected clubs can approach soccer sports training in a more comprehensive way so that the risks of early sports specialization in the youth soccer teaching processes can decrease, in addition to promoting a more recreational and inclusive practice that promotes health and equity of our children.
