The way in which businesses operate is constantly changing, this largely due to the industrial revolutions that have occurred throughout history, currently industry 4.0 is the representative of the fourth industrial revolution, which can be understood as the connection between the machines and technological devices with the reasoning and way of acting of the human being. This document aims to identify how countries such as Germany, China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, England, Switzerland and Colombia are facing Industry 4.0. In terms of methodology, the qualitative approach was applied, where a literature review was carried out in reliable databases and where a comparative analysis was finally carried out. Obtaining as main results that countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan and South Korea are the main leaders of this revolution, there is evidence of large investments, government support and commitment by business organizations in each country, in addition, it was identified that Emerging countries like Colombia are making slow progress in this regard, noting the lack of investment, knowledge and support. Finally, to conclude, Industry 4.0 is a reality that cannot be escaped, it is necessary to make large monetary investments, change thoughts, improve education and training of employees and understand that Industry 4.0 brings significant challenges but also drives strong improvements for work environments and business and environmental sustainability.
