The present work aims to identify the psychological effects that videogames have on children between 6 and 12 years old. For this study, the systematic literature review methodology was used, where 53 scientific articles were analyzed in different countries such as: (Spain, Argentina, SOUTH Korea, USA, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Turkey, Brazil and Colombia). The results present two general situations that are based on the benefits or damages in the players, highlighting a greater negative impact in the social, behavioral, emotional and moral area; On the other hand, few scientific articles were obtained that reflected the effect on the neurological development of children; but there was a greater boom in studies directed to the cognitive aspect relating the positive influence on learning processes. Due to the results, non-self-directed experimental research is recommended to demonstrate the consequences of video games on the neurodevelopment of children and adolescents; Similarly, the creation of standardized tests for the identification of video game addiction is suggested and, finally, it is encouraged to carry out work aimed at observing the impact on the moral development of individuals in their early stage.
