Resumen
Teacher evaluation is an important aspect within the quality of Higher Education Institutions, not having a process model based on the areas of responsibility for planning, building, executing and monitoring and that is not supported by any IT governance model, considerably affects the control of processes within the Faculty of Engineering, diverting attention from the strategic objectives, in that order of ideas, designing a governance model for decision-making in teacher evaluation processes supported by COBIT 5.0, reinforces the question: How can decision-making be guaranteed through a management model based on teacher evaluation at the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia Campus Cali?. The government processes within organizations and especially the evaluation process within the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia Campus Cali needed to conduct the investigation of these processes through exploration and description. All of the above, allows us to conclude that for the engineering faculty, the COBIT5 processes that guide decision-making in teacher evaluation are to ensure the establishment and maintenance of the governance framework, manage human resources (teachers), manage strategy, manage changes, manage continuity and supervise, evaluate and assess performance and compliance, as a strategic alignment to be in balance with the guidelines and policies related to the teacher evaluation process.
