This degree work examines research related to sexual violence in a population with a disability condition in Colombia between the years 2015 to 2020, which aims to provide clear information about the problem of sexual violence in said population, which constitutes a problem of great magnitude with alarming figures, a phenomenon that occurs more and more frequently in the family, interpersonal and social environment. The objective of the research is to identify the advances and current status of research on sexual violence in the population with disabilities by reviewing at least 50 articles, in addition to being an effort to find answers to the various concerns, one of which is Identifying the population groups with disabilities that present a greater risk of sexual violence and in relation to the type of disability, being able to identify those aspects of definition and nature of the problem, as well as risk factors that influence the incidence and prevalence, the power inquire about the legal and political framework in Colombia as protective factors that protect the population. It is expected that this information will generate a significant contribution to know what has been done to date in research on the issue of sexual violence in the population with disabilities, promoting and encouraging further research, so that a just Colombian society is generated that puts in the center addresses the needs of this population and that this evidence in turn enables the development of actions to prevent this type of violence in a vulnerable population group.
