The present work analyzes a biofilm fixation system as an alternative for the treatment of industrial wastewater from non-alcoholic beverage companies for the reduction of the organic load of pollutants, based on a rigorous bibliographic review where different advantages and disadvantages of this system are obtained, In this sense, the different biofilm fixation systems are studied, as well as the microorganisms suitable for removing phosphorus, nitrogen and carbon, as well as efficient support media in the adhesion of biofilms and the comparison with different conventional treatments.
