Anxiety is a state of agitation, causing physical, emotional and psychological discomfort, greatly affecting the performance of academic activities. Adolescents are in constant development, which is relevant to address the issue of anxiety and its symptoms. This research is descriptive with a quantitative approach, with the aim of evaluating the anxiety levels of 11th grade students from the "Eloy Valenzuela" Technological Institute of Bucaramanga. For this, the Beck Anxiety Inventory was used, whose purpose is to assess the somatic symptoms of anxiety. The population was 115 eleventh grade students and in the results found it was identified that 19.13% have minimal levels of anxiety, 27.83% have minimal levels, 26.95% moderate levels and 26.09% levels severe anxiety. In this way, the need to generate strategies to mitigate the factors found is reflected.
