The main objective of this work is to resize the structured cabling of the Air-e company headquarters on Avenida Libertador in the city of Santa Marta, which wishes to improve the network and avoid disconnections. The structured cabling that this office of the company currently has is quite deteriorated and with the technological advances that have been seen lately, it is obsolete. The objective of this document is to update and restructure the network, giving a solution to the problem that is detailed in this work, meanwhile, the methodology, results of the review carried out and, in the analysis, and discussion, where the equipment and equipment were analyzed, are described. means used, to make the due technological replacement. To verify the new proposal in communications between teams, it was carried out through simulation software in Cisco Packet Tracer whose executables are available on the Web. The information was taken by asking the person in charge of the networks area of the Libertador substation, where he commented that there was a disconnection in the network, which caused the equipment to leave the system and become inoperative. In this network sizing, the TIA / EIA 606 standard will be applied, which helps us to facilitate the identification of the red points and the TIA / EIA 568-B.1 standard, which allows us to deliver a much more organized wired structure. The network is dimensioned to implement a structure of equipment necessary for distribution and administration to the different connection points in the Libertador substation, because the current structure is not in an ideal order, which makes the connection drop and they do not use a labeling of the wiring to be able to identify the affected red points. It is desired to implement an Access Point for its wireless connection to other of the different connection points in the cubicles, placing it in a strategic point where it can have coverage in the facilities. Switches will be installed for the distribution of network points in a star topology in order to identify the equipment connected to said network. With this, it is possible to segment the network. The incorporation of IP cameras, strategically installed for the supervision and security of the company and its employees, after the implementation is applied, performs connectivity tests between equipment and thus validates compliance with the objectives set.
