Resumen
This research was to consolidate the data obtained in the project, evaluation of the bovinometric characteristics of the beefmaster breed at different ages in the department of Santander, first phase. Taking age and sex as variables. Based on the application of 33 morphological measurements and 9 zoo-metric indices made by the first phase, a selection of 6 measurements (for females) and 7 (for males) was made, (weight, height at withers, thoracic perimeter, Inter iliac width, length to the back, ilioischial length and for males the scrotal circumference is added). In this way, this descriptive study made it possible to establish and standardize the bovinometric measurements required for livestock exposures, resulting in the use and application of basic zoo-metric standards to guarantee the participation of pure specimens in the judging track. In addition, an illustrative primer was prepared that contains said information, it includes tables that describe the data obtained (13 in total) with their respective graphs, where the confidence intervals for each measure are shown. The contribution is also made for the association of the judging formats and the access to the associated producers of the results and purpose of the study. For this, a representative sample of 701 animals was taken, of which 568 were females and 133 males from the herds, Yaruma, Agropecuaria Santillana, La Italia, Saratoga, Casanueva, El Infinito, Laguna del Penderisco and San Lorenzo. Likewise, the updated inventory and the different stages of development of the animals within each production were taken into account, up to the day or time elapsed of taking bovinometric measurements.
