Resumen
The main objective of this study was to design a Virtual Learning Object that would facilitate the accompaniment of the families and caregivers of the sixth grade students of the IED Alonso de Olalla, to the educational process of their children; To achieve this purpose it was necessary to resort to a study with a qualitative and descriptive approach. The results of the study showed that according to the initial survey, an opportunity for improvement of 36% is required with regard to the participation and accompaniment of families in the education of their children; Therefore, it was specified that the OVA should be based on 3 components that according to Vega et al. (2010, as cited by Morales, et al., 2016) is related to: 1) contents, 2) context and 3) Activities¸ which respond to the principles of connectivism proposed by Siemens (2004); said OVA was built in the eXeLearning tool and integrated three units, namely: unit 1 knowing the Alonso de Olalla school; unit 2 strengthening the relationship between family and school and unit 3 training in well-being and happiness. Finally, the evaluation of the relevance of the OVA, through a pilot test applied to teachers, parents and students, demonstrated a positive perception related to the operation and effectiveness of this tool in accompanying parents to the school process of their children ; as it presents coherence and is easy to navigate, its methodology allows effective interaction with parents, therefore it encourages the accompaniment of their children and enriches their knowledge about school; in the same way, the way in which the topics are presented is appropriate to the needs of the family and strengthening a sense of belonging to the school.
