Resumen
The felis silvestris catus is a species that is characterized by being very territorial, these use their senses to evaluate their environment and to communicate with other cats, thus generating in them a feeling of control and security. When your environment changes, you leave your home or exit your comfort zone. A clear example is the visit to the veterinarian, generating levels of stress that cause changes in their behavior, being a factor that can affect the process of diagnosis and manipulation for the treating veterinarian. For this reason it is important to understand the nature of cats, physiological aspects and ethology, relying on management techniques to reduce stress levels and thus develop more amenable veterinary practices for cats and safer for veterinary medical staff and customers. The present paper proposes a protocol of ethological management and adequacy of the facilities of the office to reduce stress in the F. silvestris catus based on the behavior observed in the patients who were admitted to the veterinary clinic Andes Ibagué with the aim of improving the process of diagnosis and care by the veterinary doctor, generating well-being in domestic cats.
