Resumen
Humanity development generates constant changes in the social and economic structure, which implies that the academy must face constant challenges in its high purpose to satisfy training needs required by the labour market. This monograph seeks to characterise the practices performed by students of Industrial Engineering and Public Accounting of the “Cooperativa De Colombia” University based in Neiva during 2015 and 2021. Firstly, a meta-analysis tool for qualitative data was used in the final reports of students of social, entrepreneurial and solidarity internships published in the institutional repository. Sixty seven reports from the Industrial Engineering program and nineteen from the Public Accounting programme were analysed using the MAXQDA tool. Here, some variables such as: positions, applied competences, functional areas and achieved economic sectors were identified, relating them to the object, study plan and field of action of each training program. Consequently, the whole process made possible to recognise the characteristics of primary competences each professional must have and their relevance between the academic planning of each of the programs and the regional and global environment.
