Resumen
The present literature aims to know the main protective factors at the socio-family level as a mechanism for preventing suicidal behavior in adolescents, for this, a conceptual review of different investigations and theoretical postulates available in different bibliographic databases was carried out. As a result, it was identified that the maintenance of close relationships, family cohesion, sports practices, social support, educational and professional opportunities, construction of safe public spaces, religious beliefs and timely access to health, are factors protectors that reduce the risk of suicidal behavior in adolescents. Therefore, it is concluded that protective factors play a prevailing role in the prevention of suicidal behavior, which is why it is important that the design and construction of preventive programs integrate new guidelines to strengthen the protective factors that the adolescent has to face to suicide.
