Resumen
The research presented here consisted of the assembly of an unconventional fish farming system, consisting of two circular pools in geo-membranes of 6.0 m in diameter and 1.0 m deep, with forced aeration (blower or aerators) fed with solar energy and use of efficient microorganisms to treat excreta, a situation that allows the management of high stocking densities of red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.), as a mechanism for adaptation to climate change; since rainwater was used and the permanent exchange of water was avoided. During the evaluation, geometric measurements of the fish (size and weight), determination of water quality and quantity of concentrate supplied, and information that was tabulated, processed and plotted were made; to observe the variations over time. This project is intended to make a change in the traditional methods of fish farming carried out in the Department of Huila, through the use of unconventional technology that allows to contribute to the reduction of water resources and contribute to the improvement in family income, through the exploitation of fish in areas with adverse climate and soil conditions.
