The following professional practice report describes the methodology used for the implementation of the E.S.E. quality manual. Hernando Moncaleano Perdomo University Hospital in Neiva and to update the process and procedure manuals of the Hospital Quality Assurance Office; in order to improve the Quality Management System of the E.S.E. For the execution of the practice, the institution's quality manual began with the elaboration, for this a checklist was elaborated based on the requirements of the NTC GP 1000: 2009 norm, the information of the processes and procedures that said standard requires and that the Hospital had already implemented; This information is analyzed comparing it with the requirements of the standard, then the model to be implemented is chosen, the policy, objectives, key procedures, the sequence and interaction of the processes, the criteria for the control of records, the necessary resources and other requirements; Once this stage has been completed, the quality manual is sent for approval by senior management to be able to share the quality manual with the hospital community. The second part of the practice consisted of updating the process and procedure manuals of the Hospital Quality Assurance Office, for this it began with the collection of the previous manuals, meetings were scheduled with the leaders and people in charge of the procedures, the information given by those responsible for said procedures is documented and given the need of the Office, three procedures and a process are created, these manuals, once updated, are sent for approval, to later be shared with the officials of the Guarantee Office quality.
