Through the application of didactic strategies, the teaching and learning processes enable the teacher and the student to jointly develop literacy activities through technology. This research was approached from the shortcomings that the students of the first grade of the Higher Normal Educational Institution present, in terms of the low level of literacy typical of the Language competence. Under the qualitative route and the descriptive Action Research this project was carried out with 35 students, and it was applied the didactic strategy based on different literacy activities. In the implementation phase the strategy, the researchers used the educational software JClic, as a teaching and learning tool. Within the findings obtained the student learnt to write and then read in a more dynamic, open and spontaneous way, taking into account that it is a population directly linked to technology, it is concluded that literacy can be enhanced when it is mediated by an easy-to-use technological tool such as the JClic educational software through the GEEMPA methodology, which is guided by the teacher.
