Stress is considered a health problem, whether in an individual, family or community, that is why at an academic level it has been seen the need to carry out a structured follow-up that allows to identify its appearance, risks and complications at the same time that require care, for this reason the objective: of the project was to determine which instruments evaluate stress in Nursing students in the teaching-learning process and clinical practice during the period between 2010 and 2020. carried out a literary review of 40 articles in the Spanish, English and Portuguese languages using keywords such as Psychological Stress, Practice, Based Clinic, Surveys and questionnaires, Nursing Students, Learning and Teaching. Results: taking into account the contributions of the bibliographic references, it was evidenced that the most used instruments for the assessment of stress in the training process of nursing students both in the academic area and in clinical practice were five in total, of which one of them was the SISCO Inventory, it was found that it was used by 32.5% (13) authors of the studies proposed, on the other hand with a very similar percentage of use was the KEZKAK questionnaire with 30% (12) and the Stress Scale perceived (PSS-14) with 27.5% (11) implemented, the other two instruments with a lower percentage corresponded to the Stress Assessment Scale in Nursing Students (AEEE) and the Inventory of stress symptoms in adults from Lipp (ISSL) with 10% (4) used times. Conclusions: Stress assessment instruments applied to nursing students in the last decade (2010-2020) such as the perceived stress scale (PSS-14) that has a publication date of 1983, which is already 38 years old. existence, due to which some of the limitations found in this instrument mentioned by authors such as Shaban, Khater & Akhu Zaheya (2012) who emphasize the lack of presence of sociodemographic aspects or coherent items that allow evaluating causes of the stress, denoting the need to generate new stress assessment instruments, which can be general such as the SISCO inventory or specific such as the AEEE scale, thus facilitating the holistic understanding of stress in nursing students as a research topic.
