Resumen
Ovum Pick Up, allows us to implement genetic improvement through the production of embryos, facilitating profitability in the country's livestock environment, so there are two important techniques that are, the production of embryos in vivo with MOET technology and the production of in vitro embryos with OPU technology. Superovulation is the increase in the physiological number of ovulations typical of the species, caused by the administration of gonadotropins, in order to obtain several offspring naturally in a short time, from a genetically superior female. Transvaginal follicular aspiration is a technique by which immature oocytes are collected from the follicles in the ovaries of a live cow by ultrasound-guided aspiration through the vaginal wall. Within the bovine reproduction program, it is necessary to know in depth each hormone used for superovulation in females and to have experience when it comes to extracting fertile oocytes and ovules.
