Resumen
Teaching work today turns out to be the exercise of attention to the common needs of society, which every day shows a search for change in order to improve the quality of life of the vulnerable populations of the country. Thus, this research aimed to create a foundation for the teaching of English and a foundation in values that contribute to increasing the possibilities for social improvement and improvement for people with limited resources in the Nuevo Girón neighborhood, located in the Municipality of Girón. Based on this, the need and social contributions linked to the creation of a non-profit foundation for the teaching of English were determined, and different methodological strategies were implemented through workshops and recreational activities that facilitated the teaching of English and the construction of human values to promote social change. Due to this, this investigation sought to put the non-profit foundation BABEL at the service of the Nuevo Girón neighborhood community, which included people of any age and condition. The research methodology was carried out in a qualitative-ethnographic way, making a direct study to determine some social behaviors when learning English as a foreign language. Considering the above, this research exposes within its conclusions the contributions of foreign language learning through the promotion of projects that nurture vulnerable populations to reduce the existing social gap.
