Technology has allowed universities to continue their educational processes during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it also poses risks to faculty health related to technostress. The objective of this systematic review investigates the theoretical contributions related to the use of technology by university professors and the implication of this on their health. For this purpose, the Scopus and PubMed databases were used with the descriptors related to technostress, university faculty and Covid-19. In the period from 2014 to 2021. A total of 397 articles were identified, of which 46 were included for an initial review through a bibliographic analysis matrix, leaving 22 documents for the were included. The bibliometric and theoretical analysis was able to identify the authors, journals, countries and the trend of increasing publication in the last two years. Likewise, the theoretical concepts, typologies, consequences and instruments for the measurement of technostress. In contrast to Covid-19, seven articles highlight the need to monitor the occupational health of teachers with regard to the use of technology in their work. In conclusion, it is evident that technostress represents a psychosocial risk that should not be ignored, whose effects on physical, emotional and psychological health can be serious for the worker and on the quality of work. It is necessary to further investigate this phenomenon in order to establish preventive measures, and intervention actions, given that education and information and communication technologies (ICT) are increasingly interrelated.
