The exponential growth of electronic commerce worldwide has been constant and notorious, the current Covid 19 pandemic has confronted human beings with different changes in daily life, that is why internet purchases have evolved and the different ones have grown. electronic commerce platforms; Mercadolibre.com is the platform with the largest participation in Latin America and currently in Colombia, which allows us to investigate the perception and purchase preferences of customers through the mercadolibre.com platform. A mixed type of research has been used, thus allowing the identification of both quantitative and qualitative aspects that allow us to reach the proposed objective. The results highlight the acceptance of this type of commerce in Colombia, the growing use of the platform, the tastes and preferences of users and how buyers interpret the parameters, uses and services that the free market platform offers, thus showing the shopping experiences and expectations of the platform.
