Resumen
The present study aims to describe the representations and actions that last semester students of the Psychology, Law and Systems Engineering programs of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Neiva, have in relation to employability, which was approached from qualitative research For this, the hermeneutical design of a narrative type was implemented, understanding that it encompasses the interpretative and that it follows the natural course of understanding the process in which people seek the meaning of the phenomena of the world that surrounds them. The technique that allowed carrying out the research work was the semi-structured interview, based on a question guide where the researcher has the power to include additional questions to specify concepts in order to obtain more information on the desired topic. The results obtained show that the two categories analyzed (representations and actions) are characterized by analytical schemes elaborated from the subjective interpretations of the students regarding employability. It was concluded that in the face of the representations there was a broad consensus when associating it with the world of work, specifically that of formal work under the role of employee. Regarding the actions, the priority of finding a job quickly after completing the degree was evidenced, followed by creating and maintaining contacts on social networks, use of mass media and continually strengthening their academic and professional growth.
