Resumen
This work will address the study, analysis and uses of permeable pavements that have been implemented by countries such as Panama, Mexico and the United States and implement them in three cities on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Modern cities, their constructions are characterized by large waterproof surfaces and this causes the natural cycle of water to be altered (free flow of water and air to the soil), this allows the temperature to rise, the flow of water to the surface increases and it accumulates causing overflow of the capacity of the drainage systems. The use of permeable pavements should be an alternative to sustainable urban mobility, as it allows the preservation of the water and meets infrastructure requirements. That said, permeable pavements present a good comprehensive solution thus allowing to address the problems in a better way daring a development low-impact urban area as the permeable pavement allows as faithfully as possible to preserve the hydrological conditions that presented themselves in the area before urban development. Climate change and new developments are two phenomena that in turn transform natural hydrological processes. Permeable pavements are a friendly and sustainable system and present an opportunity to reduce the impacts of these phenomena, helping to make cities more resilient and thus restoring the natural water cycle. That said, we will evaluate the functionality of permeable pavements in areas with low intensity. traffic in the cities of Santa Marta, Barranquilla and Valledupar. Regarding the main cities of the countries of Panama, Mexico and the United States between the years 2015-2021.
