Resumen
Colombia is a country that is quite abundant in water resources, since the water found in this territory comes from different sources such as precipitation. That is why it is important to analyze this phenomenon in the planning of engineering projects, in which it is intended to make designs that take into account all the climatic conditions that may affect the performance and execution of civil works. This degree project is proposed with the aim of providing clear information on rainfall in the departments of Guainía, Guaviare and Vaupés, because currently there is not enough information on this subject and on other occasions the information available does not come from reliable sources. For this reason, the idea arises of synthesizing the information obtained by the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies of Colombia (IDEAM) through IDF curves (intensity, duration and frequency) that represent the probability of rainfall in a period of time and maps of isohietas that allow visualizing the behavior of precipitation according to the month of the year. Through this project, the reader will be able to analyze the information provided for this purpose and in this way use this resource that will be found in the repository of the Cooperative University of Colombia. It is expected that this project will be very useful to determine the possible effects that climatic phenomena have on the execution of civil works specifically on the subject of precipitation, taking into account that this factor is important in the durability and effectiveness of the projects.
