Resumen
Employability in recent years has become a key objective of the education system, governments and the public-private sector in the insertion of the future professional, for the proper fulfillment of their functions related to their field of study. However, unemployment rates in Colombia with respect to the labor field are significant, which shows that the professional in training has shortcomings with respect to their skills and knowledge as demanded by the work environment. In this regard, this research aims to analyze the employability of students from the Bogotá campus public accounting program of the Cooperative University of Colombia. The methodology used is mixed, where it starts from the documentary review and data analysis, which seeks to identify the actions carried out by the University and Faculty, through an Excel format called Information Search Log, where They record the findings related to the issue raised, determining its functionality and location within the research project. The evaluation of the perception that employers have about the practitioners is carried out through a satisfaction survey, which allows to recognize the positive points and the aspects to improve on the strategies advanced so that the Public Accounting student has the profile and the skills demanded by the labor market.
