Objective: Specify the vocational identity of the nursing assistance in technician labor in Eforsalud Bucaramanga, as support for their work and professional performance. Methods: This project will be done through research, which will be based on a quantitative approach. The study was carried out with a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 55 students of nursing assistance in technician labor from Eforsalud Bucaramanga. Instruments such as the description of sociodemographic data and the vocational identity scale were used. Results: An analysis of the psychometric particularities of the Professional Identity instrument was carried out, which was adapted into Spanish from its original English interpretation. To define the veracity of the Professional Identity construct and verify the scale's dimension, an evaluation of its fundamental elements was carried out. Conclusion: Finding the profession according to the life project is a decision that requires commitment, since it is a process that has some difficulty in defining itself. This decision is complex because it will define the future of a person and the environments in which they will develop such as work, their personal relationships and their economic independence
